Whole Health Surgical Support with Dr. Jonathan Rosenstreich, MD

Hosted by Tahitanga Health Centre

We were honoured to host Dr. Jonathan Rosenstreich, MD—an extraordinary medical professional with a passion for whole-person healthcare and collaborative surgical support. His unique approach bridges the gap between traditional allopathic medicine and integrative therapies, offering patients a more empowered, informed, and holistic path through surgical care.

Our recent evening with Dr. Rosenstreich brought out a full room of health professionals, patients, and community members, all eager to explore a more conscious, supportive approach to surgical interventions. His insights were both practical and deeply inspiring—reminding us that the body and mind must be supported together, especially during the stress of illness or surgery.

Dr. Rosenstreich brings nearly two decades of experience as a consultant anaesthetist and now offers whole-health surgical support, incorporating breathwork, nutrition, movement, acupuncture referrals, and lifestyle coaching, all tailored to the patient’s unique context and always in coordination with their existing care team.

“I help guide and empower patients through the surgical process—before, during, and after—by drawing on traditional medicine and integrative therapies. It’s about reducing fear, improving recovery, and ensuring every patient feels seen, supported, and prepared.” – Dr. Jonathan Rosenstreich

If you’d like to learn more or contact Dr. Rosenstreich directly about his services or a personal health query, please email us at Tahitanga@proton.me or through our website , using the subject line: Dr. Rosenstreich.

We're incredibly grateful for Dr. Rosenstreich’s time, insight, and dedication—and we look forward to collaborating further as we reimagine whole health in New Zealand.

In December, we presented our first insight to the public of Tahitanga hosted at Saxton Lodge.  We will hold another presentation in February.  Date and time for this event will be updated on this page.  Terry Taylor presented his immeasurable insight to the history and current state of Clinical Pathology.  Holly D'Souza shared her story of why she has participated (with priceless expertise and passion) in this project.  Angela McGrath then presented an overview of Tahitanga. If you would like to see the presentation PDF for this evening, please email to request it. It would not have been possible without the amazing support of the community. A huge thank you to Saxton Lodge for donating the space and accommodations, Anna and Nathan from Brightwater Four Square for their donation on the fruit, crackers and crisps, Dave and Sue Barrett from the Junction for the amazing cheeses, The Coffee Shack's amazing GF Scones and all of our amazing guests for showing up to support! And all of our guests that made it possible.

We will be hosting more presentations, fundraising opportunity and community outreach so please watch this space or sign up for our newsletter if you would like regular updates of what is to come.
